Does DemoAlias send any data to a server?
No. The extension makes zero network calls — no fetch, XHR,
or WebSocket traffic. Everything (detection, replacement, the optional saved mapping)
runs inside your browser. Read the full
privacy policy.
A detector missed something / flagged something it shouldn't.
Click the highlighted value on the page to exclude it (or include it). Selections sync instantly with the popup. If a pattern is consistently wrong across pages, email us and include the page URL or a screenshot plus the exact text that should/shouldn't be replaced.
Can I use it on Edge, Brave, Arc, or Opera?
Yes. Install from the Chrome Web Store inside any Chromium-based browser — they all accept Chrome extensions. Firefox is not supported (different extension API).
How do I uninstall and wipe everything?
Open chrome://extensions, find DemoAlias, click Remove.
All locally stored mappings and preferences are deleted with the extension. Nothing
persists outside your browser.
Is there a paid version?
Not yet — DemoAlias is free. If you'd pay for specific features (team sync, custom detectors, industry templates), email us — that feedback shapes the roadmap.
